New to Stirling?
At Holy Trinity, a stranger is a friend you haven't met yet. We've a long history of welcoming people who are new to Stirling. Unlike many parish churches, we aren't composed largely of people whose families have attended the same church for generations. Our congregation comes from a very wide range of geographical origins and social backgrounds. Some have long family associations with this church, while others have come from elsewhere in Scotland or from England, Wales, Ireland or overseas. Some have been lifelong Episcopalians or Anglicans, while others have belonged to other Christian denominations in the past. Some, indeed, have come to us as mature adults not previously having belonged to a church at all.
If you're new to Stirling, you may not be sure which church to go to, or even if you want to go to a church at all. Whatever your circumstances, we invite you to come along and give us a try. You don't need to contact anyone before coming - just turn up!
You don't need to get dressed up. If you're not sure what to wear, dress as you would if you were going shopping in town. What you wear isn't important - it's the fact you're here that matters!
The Rector will greet you on the way out at the end of the service. If you haven't already spoken to someone, please speak to him. He'll show you the way to the church hall for light refreshments and will introduce you to members of the congregation. No one will visit your home unless you want us to and we won't phone you unless you ask us to.
You don't have to contact the Rector beforehand, but, if you want to, you'll find his details on the Contact us page.
Having come, you may decide that Holy Trinity isn't for you. At least you'll have tried us and know what we're about. But we hope that you'll like our warm welcome, enjoy taking part in our worship, meet new friends and consider us an important part of life in your new home.
We look forward to seeing you!
