RCO National Organ Day

“The organ is a wonderful musical instrument which is inspiring to hear and a thrill to play.”
Sir Andrew Parmley

We hope to put on this event at a later date.

This is an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to be inspired to have a go as well as going along to listen.

Coinciding with World Heritage Day ("National Monuments and Sites Day"), this event is part of a series all over the UK encouraging people to see an organ being played up close and to "have a go" themselves.

Draft timetable

  • 10.00 Doors open
  • 10.30 Brief demonstration of the instrument
  • 10.45 Have a go!
  • 12.30 Informal concert demonstrating the colours of the organ
    Alistair Warwick (30 minutes)
