National Organ Day
Saturday 18 April 10.30am–1.00pm
“The organ is a wonderful musical instrument which is inspiring to hear and a thrill to play.”
Sir Andrew Parmley
We hope to put on this event at a later date.
This is an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to be inspired to have a go as well as going along to listen.
Coinciding with World Heritage Day ("National Monuments and Sites Day"), this event is part of a series all over the UK encouraging people to see an organ being played up close and to "have a go" themselves.
- 10.00 Doors open
- 10.30 Brief demonstration of the instrument
- 10.45 Have a go!
- 12.30 Informal concert demonstrating the colours of the organ
